Mondo Cortez, is the founder of the CHICAGO BLUES ANGELS band. CBA has played American Roots Music, Rock n Roll, Blues, Rockabilly, and Soul since 1999.

Mondo Cortez has shared the stage with performers such as Otis Rush, Junior Wells, Nick Curran, Kid Ramos, Kim Wilson, Lynwood Slim, Jimmie Vaughan, and Willie Smith. Mondo's influences are Johnny Guitar Watson, Muddy Waters, Albert Collins, Freddie King, Earl Hooker, and Robert Lockwood.
